| Thurs., June 30, & Fri. July 1: Guests arrived at the Inn, and we made Kiddush Friday evening on the Patio. Saturday, July 2: More guests arrived, & helped us ready the Theatre & prepare for the wedding! Pre-wedding blackout, courtesy Kimball Light & Water, and cocktails on the Patio by oil-lamp light... Sunday, July 3: Pre-wedding hysteria, followed by delectable Greenbrier Valley Baking Company hors d'oeuvres at the Elkhorn Inn! Then Dan & Elisse's AbFab, Big, Fat, Black Tie Wedding & Reception at the Elkhorn Theatre- in the drizzle! Officiated by LeRoy Flohr, assisted by Ringbearer Michael Clark Jr., the ceremony included readings by Nymph of Honor Maria, Best Man Rich, and friends of the bride & groom, Matthew & Sandy. The ceremony was followed by a dinner of almond-crusted sauteed catfish fillets, served with broccoli and Hollandaise sauce, fresh homemade breads by Greenbrier Valley Baking Company, and a salad of baby field greens, and accompanied by wines from the Kirkwood Winery, and Martha & Bob's champagne! Bluegrass music concert by Alan Johnston and "South 52". DVD Video by Cindy, photography by Bob, Matt, & everyone else! Coffee & the fabulous, floral Greenbrier Valley Baking Company wedding cake was served later, back at the Inn! Monday, July 4: Martha's Famous Groundnut Stew Dinner Party, followed by Mike, Mike Jr., & Ron's 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza! |
