Wine and dine with Mark Twain AND Stonewall Jackson at the Elkhorn Inn!This truly unique, one-of-a-kind “living history” weekend at the Elkhorn Inn will feature special Chef Dan Dinners, and WV Humanities Council scholar/actor Doug Riley in character! $550.00 + tax includes two nights lodging at the Inn (double occupancy), two special Chef Dan Dinners on Friday and Saturday evening, Breakfasts, and all of Mr. Riley’s performances & presentations throughout the weekend!

Railfan Weekend

Join Railstream at the Inn for a great Railfan Weekend, photographing trains, and enjoying two special “Dinner in the Dining Car” Chef Dan Dinners, one of which will be taken from an original N&W Pocahontas Dining Car Dinner Menu on display in the Inn’s Museum Room! Two nights loding (double occupancy), with Continental Breakfast each morning, and the two special Chef Dan Dinners: $499.00 + tax. The Inn has anATCS monitor for ourrailfan guests, aRailstream Railcam on our balcony, and rail-view guest rooms, balcony, covered front porch, and dining room!

“Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Ride

The “Head of the Dragon” joins the “Back of the Dragon”, “Claw of the Dragon”, and “Tail of the Dragon”, to complete the Body of the Dragon motorcycle ride series through Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The ride consists of 91 miles of McDowell Countytwo lane country roads. You will be riding Route 52 (“Coal Heritage Road”), Route 80, Route 83, Route 16, and Route 161. Your ride will take you through the local WV communities ofWelch,Iaeger, Bradshaw, War, Bishop,Elkhorn,Northfork, Keystone, Kimball, andLandgraff, West Virginia where theElkhorn Inn is! You will enjoy beautiful mountain scenery while riding the country roads of McDowell County, West Virginia. Riders that complete all the dragon motorcycle rides will attain “Dragon Master” status!
